Itinerary
Day 1: From Cusco to Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca return to Cusco
The meeting point is at Regocijo Square at 8:00 a.m. After a journey of approximately 3 hours, you will arrive at the starting point of the hike, located at 4,850 meters above sea level. From there, you will begin a hike of approximately 1 hour and 2 kilometers along trails that combine flat sections and moderate climbs until you reach Rainbow Mountain.
During the hike, you will enjoy spectacular views and observe high Andean wildlife in its natural environment. Upon reaching the summit at 5,010 meters, you will have free time to rest, take pictures, and appreciate Rainbow Mountain, weather permitting.
Finally, you will descend for approximately 50 minutes to the starting point, where you will take transportation back to Cusipata to enjoy a local buffet lunch. After lunch, you will return to the city of Cusco, arriving between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Plaza de Armas in the city center.
