Maras Moray and textiles Half-day Tour

For your half-day tour, you will be picked up at your hotel in Cusco between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. The first stop will be in Chinchero, a picturesque village known for its traditional weaving workshops. Here, a local community will show you the ancestral process of dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. Afterwards, the journey continues to the impressive circular terraces of Moray, a fascinating Inca agricultural research center, where the different depths and orientations of the terraces create unique microclimates.

The last stop on the tour is at the Maras Salt Mines, more than 3,000 pools fed by salt water from a mountain, which evaporates under the sun to leave salt crystals that are collected with wood and dried in baskets. You will have time to walk around and take photos in this unique landscape. Finally, the tour concludes with your return to Cusco at approximately 2:30 pm, dropping you off in the center of the city.
